Walt Disney World announced on Tuesday, August 3rd, 2010 that, effective this Thursday, they will be raising their ticket prices. The price for tickets will increase to .00 for a one-day, one-park adult ticket, which will be a .00 increase from current prices.

Walt Disney Parks and Resorts says approximately 4 million people registered online for free theme-park tickets in 2009 as part of the company's "Free on Your Birthday" marketing campaign.

Roy Edward Disney, son of Disney Studios co-founder Roy O. Disney, and nephew of Walt Disney, passed away Dec. 16 at Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian in Newport Beach following a yearlong battle with stomach cancer. He was 79 years old.
